Yogi Berra, born Lawrence Peter Berra on May 12, 1925, was an American professional baseball player, coach, and manager. He is considered one of the greatest catchers in baseball history and spent the majority of his 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the New York Yankees. Berra played in the MLB from 1946 to 1965 and was known for his exceptional skills both as a hitter and a catcher.
Berra was a 15-time All-Star and won the American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award three times in 1951, 1954, and 1955. He also contributed significantly to the Yankees' success, helping the team win 10 World Series Championships during his playing career. His impressive postseason record includes 71 hits, 12 home runs, and 39 RBIs.
