Mike Tyson is a retired American professional boxer who dominated the sport during the 1980s and 1990s. Born on June 30, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, Tyson faced a troubled childhood, filled with crime and violence, before discovering boxing as an outlet for his aggression.

Under the tutelage of legendary boxing trainer Cus D'Amato, Tyson honed his skills and eventually turned professional in 1985. His aggressive fighting style and incredible punching power made him an unstoppable force in the ring. In 1986, at the age of 20, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history when he defeated Trevor Berbick for the WBC title.

Nicknamed "Iron Mike," Tyson went on to unify the heavyweight division, holding the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles simultaneously. His ferociousness in the ring and ability to dispatch opponents quickly earned him a reputation as one of the most feared fighters of all time.

However, Tyson's career was not without controversy. In 1992, he was convicted of rape and served three years in prison. After his release, he returned to the ring but struggled to regain his previous dominance. Tyson faced further challenges, including biting off a portion of Evander Holyfield's ear during a 1997 bout and filing for bankruptcy in 2003.

In recent years, Tyson has reinvented himself, appearing in films and television shows, launching a successful podcast, and even returning to the ring for exhibition matches. Despite his troubled past, Tyson remains a significant figure in the world of boxing, and his impact on the sport continues to be felt today.
