Jack Nicklaus is arguably one of the greatest golfers alive! He has competed in all of 164 major tournaments, winning 117 of them. For over two and a half decades, he has won 18 major championships, including 5 PGA championships, 3 Open Championships, 4 US Opens, and 6 Master Tournaments. He also boasts a record of 73 PGA victories- a record that is only exceeded by Tiger Woods and Sam Snead who boast 18 victories each. Jack Nicklaus has even had victories in overseas tournaments, too.
Jack Nicklaus was named the PGA Player of the year in 1976, 1975, 1973, 1972, and 1967. He was also a member of the winning United States World Cup tennis team in 1973, 1971, 1967, 1966, 1964, and 1963. He also won the World Cup individually in 1971, 1964, and 1963. In 1974, Jack Nicklaus was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame and he joined the Senior PGA Tour 16 years later.
