Mike Tyson, born on June 30, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, is widely regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behaviour inside and outside the ring, Tyson's life and career have been marked by highs and lows.

Tyson's early life was tumultuous. Raised in high-crime neighbourhoods, he often found himself on the wrong side of the law. Tyson's boxing talent, however, was discovered early by Bobby Stewart, a juvenile detention centre counsellor and former boxer. Recognizing Tyson's potential, Stewart introduced him to the legendary boxing trainer Cus D'Amato.

Under D'Amato's tutelage, Tyson quickly ascended through the ranks. In 1986, at just 20 years old, he became the youngest heavyweight champion in history after defeating Trevor Berbick. His aggressive style, strength, and speed earned him the nickname "Iron Mike." By 1989, Tyson had amassed a record of 37-0.

Despite his success in the ring, Tyson's personal life was fraught with problems. His tumultuous marriage to Robin Givens ended in divorce, and his lavish lifestyle led to financial troubles. In 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape and sentenced to six years in prison, serving three.

After his release from prison, Tyson made a comeback and regained his WBC title in 1996, but lost it to Evander Holyfield later that year. The subsequent rematch in 1997, known as the "Bite Fight," is infamous for Tyson's disqualification after he bit off a portion of Holyfield's ear.

In 2005, after a string of losses and mounting financial problems, Tyson retired from professional boxing. Despite his controversial career and personal life, Tyson's impact on the sport of boxing is undeniable. His explosive power, uncanny speed for a heavyweight, and ferocious desire to win left an indelible mark on the world of boxing.

In recent years, Tyson has managed to reinvent himself. He has made appearances in films, launched a successful one-man show, and started his own marijuana company. His life, filled with both controversy and redemption, continues to captivate the public. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, he hosts the podcast "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson," where he interviews celebrities, athletes, and other notable figures.
